Currently there are three (3) open seats for a 2-year term. All three incumbents; Don Henry, Scott Keller, and Chris Yewdall declared their intent to run for another term. All three incumbents' applications were filed in a timely manner, and all applicants qualified to fill the three open seats on the Council. No other applicants applied. UPDATE:  THIS JUST IN FROM THE Election Committee 2023 (October 8, 2023)

No Election will be held on November 7, 2023.  

Currently there are three (3) open seats for a 2-year term. All three incumbents; Don Henry, Scott Keller, and Chris Yewdall declared their intent to run for another term.  All three incumbents' applications were filed in a timely manner, and all applicants qualified to fill the three open seats on the Council.  No other applicants applied.  The Agua Dulce Bylaws state: "If candidates are unopposed or there is less than a full slate of candidates, those candidates shall be elected by acclamation.  If there are a greater number of candidates than the number of open seats, an election will be held.  No election will be held on November 7, 2023.  


November 7, 2023 Election Day for Agua Dulce Town Council

The nominating period is now open.  3 seats will be open - the Council Members whose terms are ending in December of 2023 are Don Henry, Scott Keller, and Chris Yewdall.  

Polling place is the Agua Dulce Women's Club, 33201 Agua Dulce Canyon Road, Agua Dulce, CA.  Polls will be open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

AGUA DULCE TOWN COUNCIL ELECTION 2022


This just in from the Election Committee:  October 10, 2022

No Election for Agua Dulce Town Council

Four seats were open for a 2-year term.  Incumbents Mary Johnson, Candy Clemente, and Kathyrn Segura declared their intent to run.  Incumbent Lou Vince declared that he would not seek re-election.  Additionally, Cliff Grimes applied and declared his intent to run.  All applications were filed in a timely manner, and all applicants qualified to fill the four open seats on the Council.  No other applicants applied. 

The Agua Dulce Town Council Bylaws state:  "If candidates are unopposed or there is less than a full slate of candidates, those candidates shall be elected by acclamation and an election will not be held."  

Council Members will be sworn in and take office at the December 14, 2022 meeting.

The Council thanks the 2022 Election Committee (Chair Rosie Heffley and Vice Chair Trish Brewer) for their dedication and service to the community.


November 8, 2022 Election Day for Agua Dulce Town Council

UPDATE:  November 2020 Election:  There are (3) seats on the Town Council that will have a term expiring on December 2020 for the 2021 open seats.  Don Henry, Scott Keller, and Ed Porter. 

Due to the uncertainty and current concerns with COVID 19 outbreak, and in keeping with the Los Angeles County's "Safer At Home" order that remains in place to combat the Virus outbreak, it is the recommendation of the ADTC Election Committee, the November 2020 Elections, be suspended until the COVID 19 Virus is under control, the Committee also recommends, the above incumbents remain at their current posts until the  Agua Dulce Town Council is back to business as usual.

No Elections will be held for the Agua Dulce Town Council, November 5, 2019

In September 2019, Agua Dulce incumbents Mary Johnson, Candy Clemente, Lou Vince, and Troy Fosberg, declared the intent to run for the Agua Dulce Town Council, the applications wer filed in a timely manner, and all applicants qualified to fill the four open seats onthe Council.  No other applicants applied.

The Agua Dulce Town Council Bylaws state:  If th Write-In Candidates deadline has passed and there are no eligible, verified Write-In Candidates; and eligible, verified candadates are unopposed or there is less than a full slate of candidates; those eligible verified candidates shall be elected by acclamation and an election will not be held.  

The Election Committee wishes to extend our congratulations to the incumbents.

No Election for Agua Dulce Town Council on November 8, 2016

In September 2016, incumbents Don Henry, Ed Porter, and Scott Keller declared their intent to run for the Agua Dulce Town Council Election.  Their applications were filed timely and verified to fill the 3 open seats on the Council.  No other applicants applied.  There were no Write-In candidates that applied.  Therefore, all eligible, verified candidates were unopposed and shall be elected by acclamation.  Don Henry, Ed Porter and Scott Keller will be installed at the December meeting.

97 Total ballots were cast.  7 ballots were provisional (counted).

  • Mary Johnson-66 votes
  • Troy Fosberg-58 votes
  • Candy Clemente-57 votes
  • Lou Vince-47 votes
  • William Alch-45 votes

The top four will be installed at the December 9, 2015 meeting.  Thank you to all the candidates, the volunteer poll workers, and all those who made the effort to vote.
