COMMUNITY MEETING: Protecting Water and Private Property Rights: SB1263 Prohibiting Hauled Water for New Construction presented by Pacific Legal Foundation

March 2, 2017: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at High Desert Middle School, 3620 Antelope Woods Rd., Acton, CA

On September 30, 2016, Governor Brown signed SB1263 prohibiting the use of hauled water for new residential construction. That bill infringes on property rights by limiting property owners ability to build on land relying on hauled water, ultimately rendering their land worthless. This bill will prohibit construction of single family homes where it is not possible to connect to a nearby water system and where access to groundwater is cost-prohibitive or impossible. Pacific Legal Foundation is a non-profit organization established for the purpose of defending and promoting individual and economic freedom in the courts. Attorneys from Pacific Legal Foundation will be on hand to discuss their proposed lawsuit and how it relates to properties in Agua Dulce and Acton.

This meeting is open to the public. Please attend to find out how this may affect your property.
